I’m not even in Kansas yet, and already I’m feeling rushed and behind schedule. Nationals just seems to do that to me. Justin, his Dad and Eric Coffman pulled in around 11:30 last night. They definitely got the worst of the weather from the sound of it.
We stayed up talking till almost 2 o’clock, so I’m especially fresh and rested today.
The plan today is to leave for Topeka sometime between 9 and 10, in order to get there in time to catch some of the ProSolo Challenge. After that, it will be a mad dash over to Fairlawn to get checked into our luxury suite and then make it downtown for the poker tournament at 6pm. After I collected my winnings (never hurts to be confident), we’ll hook up and head out to see what kind of trouble we can get into. Unfortunately, I’ll have to take it easy, because I have to be at HPT by 8am Sunday morning to work the first heat of the warmup.
Anna is making breakfast sandwiches and coffee for us (man, I highly recommend the Hotel Jackson), so I’m going to sign off now. I’ll post something late in the afternoon after I check in the hotel.
