Poker Tournament
Sep 24th, 2006 by Nick Flynn
A good time was had by all (except for Karen Kraus, who did not seem to enjoy being the first player knocked out). We had a full field of 45 players, and the tournament ran pretty smoothly - kudos to Erik and Beth.
The less said about my performance, the better. I just never got going, and spent the entire tournament hanging on by my fingernails. My luck finally ran out after about 2 hours, and I finished around 23rd. So much for my plans for financing the trip. I hung around for a while after I was knocked out, but left when there were still about 15 players in. Eric Peterson ended up taking home the big bucks.
I got the call from Mike O at about 8:30 that the Dream Machine had arrived. Jeff and Mike were heading to Hooters to watch some Ultimate Fighting Pay per View event, so I decided I’d better tag along to keep them out of trouble.
Ah, and it was a good pay per view event. Although the free per view in the big H wasn’t bad either.
How about some updates from yesterday?
